Beckley, WV; July 16, 2025 – Raleigh County Parks & Recreation is excited to announce the launch of free public Wi-Fi at Marsh Fork Memorial Park, located at 9825 Coal River Road in Naoma. This new amenity is part of the county’s ongoing commitment to enhancing community spaces and increasing digital access for residents and visitors.
Marsh Fork Memorial Park, a beloved community destination built by the Marsh Fork High School Alumni Association, offers a walking track, playground, basketball courts, picnic shelters, fishing access, and more. With the addition of free Wi-Fi, guests can now stay connected while enjoying the park’s scenic and recreational offerings.
“This upgrade reflects our dedication to making our parks more accessible and inclusive,” said Molly Williams, Executive Director of Raleigh County Parks & Recreation. “Whether you’re working remotely, connecting with loved ones, or simply streaming music while you walk, we want Marsh Fork to be a place where nature and technology meet.”
In addition to convenience, the new Wi-Fi service enhances safety by allowing visitors to make calls, send messages, and access emergency services if needed—especially in areas where cell service may be limited. This connectivity ensures peace of mind for families, solo visitors, and anyone enjoying the park’s amenities.
The Wi-Fi installation was made possible through strategic planning and community support, ensuring minimal disruption to the park’s landscape and amenities. Visitors can access the network throughout the park without needing a password.
